Standby and USB problem

When my PC goes on standby it has started to power off the USB ports. As I
use a blutooth keyboard/mouse I cannot now wake it up without hitting the
power button every time and doing a full reboot.
This did not happen before and does not always happen now - just most of the
time.
I also have some equipment that recarges via the USB connection and so these
fail to charge as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could check the options in Control panel | System Properties | Hardware
| Device Manager | Universal Serial Bus controllers

Double click the entries under "Universal Serial Bus controllers" and when
you see a "Power Management" tab, click it and uncheck "Allow the computer
to turn off this device to save power."

Thanks I have done this and will see what happens. The option to allow the
USB devices to wake up the PC from sleep is faded as if the PC does not
support that option so I need to investigate this aspect further.
