Standby and tiny mouse movements

I'd like to know if you can stop mouse movements from bringing a computer out
of standby, but leave the keyboard active for that task. Because of where my
computer is my mouse is sometimes moved slightly and it keeps turning back on
when I'd rather it didn't. Does anyone know if there's a setting for this?
Thanks. (I don't use hibernation because sometimes it doesn't recover
properly on mine) Using XP Home.
 
Try looking in device manager..right click the mouse listing..properties and
if it has a power management tab uncheck allow this device to bring the
computer out of standby.
 
Thanks for your help Ricky. It wasn't in the device manager (not sure why)
but you reminded me to check the control panel, mouse, properties, power
management settings and it was there. Thanks again.
