standard/daylight time error

Every time DST changes, the clock on my computer shows the wrong time and has
to be reset manually. The computer is only a year old, but has had this
problem since day 1. Today it reset (on the wrong day) to Standard Time, and
when I ping to reset the clock, it comes back standard time. It shouldn't
change until next week.

I looked at my BIOS and it doesn't seem to have a setting for standard or
DST, but the clock was set correctly. What do I do to change this?

Not the BIOS; check the Windows date setting to make sure you are set
for the appropriate time zone.

I checked that first. It says Eastern zone, which is correct. But when the
time updates from the internet, it immediately resets it by an hour. Right
now it says standard time, so I have to constantly reset it.

Yes, it is, but still says standard time, resets to standard time.

I did come up with a workaround for now. I put it on the Atlantic Time
Zone. Maybe my computer wants to visit our neighbor to the north, eh?
