Stand by is Greyed out

Hi .. I am curious how can i fix my stand by option ???
When i click the start menu and then clcik turn off
computer my stand by is greyed out , i just have the 2
other options turn off or restart ... How to get the
stand by but ?? Thanks

Hi,

From my experience, it happens when you don't have the
correct drivers for your video card or they have been
corrupted. Try to install the correct drivers for your
video card or update them.

I actually think it's a BIOS setting. Make sure APM
(advanced power management) and ACPI (advanced
configuration power interface) are both enabled. If ACPI
wasn't on at the time of install, turning it on later
won't matter and you'll be stuck with no "stand-by"
unless you reinstall. -Lydell (precision)
