Is anyone knowledgable about a file named "ssdiag"? I
found it was causing a lot of diagnostic windows to open
up on my screen everytime I powered up and logged onto my
computer. It wasn't there when I initially loaded WinXP
onto my computer, but it showed up some time later,
perhaps after I downloaded one of the recommended MS
downloads (but I am not sure).

Is this needed by Windows for anything? Is it something I
need or want?

Any help would be appreciated.
 
Hi JR2knowledge,

This is not a Microsoft Windows component. You do not need this for core
Windows functionality.

Most references I have found on SSDiag point to Unix Management software.
