src="outbind://20/ Email Signature Linked Picture Issue

I'm having an issue with a picture appearing within an email signature I have
created for the company I work for. I decided to post the picture on a web
site and then link the signature to it. Everything works the way I would
expect it to, except when I receive a reply from a person that I had
previously sent an email to with my signature attached, the reply includes my
signature as well as their signature. However, my signature displays the
image, while theirs shows the Red X space holder. Digging into the source
code of the email reveals the link in their signature is instead
src="outbind://20/http://www.domain.com/email_picture.gif". I have read that
if you do not place the http:// before the website, you will get this
behavior, but that is not the case with my signature. And what's even more
odd, is when I reply once again to the person and then receive yet another
reply within the same email string, the source code changes the previous
outbind://20/http:// back to the correct
src="http://www.domain.com/email_picture.gif" and then the most recent
signature shows up as
src="outbind://20/http://www.domain.com/email_picture.gif". I have moved all
users to edit their emails in Outlook (as opposed to Word). I can find very
little info on this and would at least like to find an explanation if there
are limitations or a fix would be even better.

Thanks

This means that the picture has been embedded in the message. The X means
that the embedded picture has been removed while the link to the image is
still there in the message. It's like a webpage refering to a picture that
has been removed.

This does make since to me, but do you have a suggestion on how to keep
outlook from downloading and embedding the image from the web page when
replying to an email which includes the picture?

Thanks for the quick response

Ah, it is internal to you? I thought you were communicating with someone
outside your corporation.

Configure Internet Format options not to include pictures from the Internet.

Awesome! Looks like that will work for me, thanks. I had headed over to your
web site a little earlier. Very Nice! That is a copious amount of Outlook
info if I’ve every seen it. I'm very excited to test the restore of the
Deleted Deleted items by modifying the PST file with a HEx editor as well as
the automatic .pst backup script.

Thanks Again.

Thanks! I'm still planning to make some updates to that script but that is
still undergoing some testing. Expect something else to be released real
soon! ;-)
