Squirrel SQL Client with Access?

B

Broons Bane

Hi I use access 2002

I want to use the squirrel sql client with it via the jdbc/odbc
bridge. does anybody know the url i would use to point to the odbc
driver I've setup for this database? (everything is on the same pc).

If not, is there another recommended freeware sql front end that works
with access?

Thanks :)

The url would likely have to be a path name directly to the mdb file.

I never used squirrel.

however, since you going to have access 2000, I can't imagine what feature
it is in squirrel you are looking for that you don't have in ms-access....

So, you likely have to setup a some type of dsn/connection in squirrel.
(assuming squirrel does support ODBC systems, it should work with
ms-access).

I suppose at the end of the day, it really depends on what your goal here
is.
