Windows XP Pro.

SQL Server Service Manager icon on my taskbar when clicked says "Not
Connected."

What does XP Pro uses SQL server for? My database is Access. What other
program it may be associated with?

Several other softwares, like "backup" systems (Backup Exec,) install
a "small" SQL server module in order to use it for its internal
database infos. What other softwares do you have installed?

I have ms Office 2003, adobe reader, photoshop elements, Cute ftp. I have
never noticed this icon before. Why is it now Not Connected?
