Check your Add/Remove Programs for toolbars. If you find
ANY, remove them. I have have found, in my experience,
that many of the toolbars have to be removed this way, if
they were downloaded, otherwise they are not going to go
away.

Tricia--please restart your computer in safe mode, and scan twice. Do full
scans, rather than quickscans. If the second scan comes through clean, I
believe that will take care of the problem. If it does not, please reply
here giving any identifying names for the toolbars or searchbars involved.

I have run the scan twice while the computer is in safe
mode, and removed toolbars from the add/remove programs
options. But the search option in the toolbar is still
hijacked and in my favourites I still have a list of
favourites that for example are for travel , Shopping,
online casino. I cannot remove tmem. When you rt click
the only option is to close the toolbar. THE ONLY NAME ON
THE TOOLBAR IS SEARCH.
