Spyware

I hope someone can help me. I downloaded the Microsoft
AntiSpyware and it detected some hijacking virus. I
deleted it and ran it again and again and each time it
detects more. How can I completely get rid of it? I can
tell its still affecting my computer because I keep
getting all of these pop ups that I didn't used to get.
What should I do? Thank you so much for anyone who can
help me! I really appreciate it.

Restart in safe mode by pressing the F8 function key before the initial
Windows screen appears.

Do full,deep scans of all drives until a complete scan comes through clean.

For good measure--do the same with your up-to-date antivirus.
