Spyware?

Headtheball

I started my pc this morning and it took ages to boot to desktop, I looked
in startup under msconfig and saw that I had two identical files loading one
called NVMCTRAY.DLL and the other NvMcTray.dll. I did a google search and I
found an article that says some spyware can disguise itself as this file,
although adaware and spybot and antispy did not pick this up. Another side
effect is that my AV (Panda) is not working and hangs when I try to run a
scan. Any Ideas would be appreciated

Greg why do you put links to software on your site that obviously are scams
to get you to buy thier product? I just tried Spyware Doctor and it informs
me that I have 2 Kazaa related spies. Now I find that odd as I have never
installed Kazaa on my PC, just to check though I ran the same program on my
laptop and what do you know I had the same problems on that as well, even
though that has never had Kazaa on it either. Good job I never
registered/purchased the product because to me any product that has to trick
you into buying it usually is a crock of ****
I would have thought that as a responsible person as MVPs usually are, you
would have evaluated the software before you recommended it.

I don't have any links for Spyware Doctor on my site, was it in the google
panel at the top. If so let me know and I will inform google of your
comments, they may then remove it from their advertising directory.

Yes Greg it was in the ads box by Goooooogle, I have just checked the box
and it is no longer in there
