Spyware? Virus?

When i start internet explorer i start at "res://mlkjq.dll/index.html#37680" no matter what i type as my starting page. I get popups all the time and the system is generally slow. I have tried spyware removal programs and installed a antivirus program, none of that helped.

Also there are some programs I cant remove when I enter "remove or add programs", those are: Shopping wizard, Search extender, Home search assistant. My computer has also gone bluescreen and restarted suddenly 2 times. Im not very good with computers, any advice is greatly appreciated!

For your apparent browser hijack issue, try "Hijackthis" at;
http://www.spychecker.com/download/download_hijackthis.html

Spyware and viruses require different approaches. Always have a good anti
virus program with all updates installed; get a firewall, or at least turn
on the XP firewall; keep Windows updates current; as for the "Add Remove"
issue, the programs you are trying to remove may have a removal feature in
the extension of itself in the programs list, and may be removed from
there(Sometimes it helps to stop the program from running before trying to
remove it...check in it's settings, or rt click on it to "Exit")...also, on
occasion, I have seen a "Removal" feature in the folder for the program in
Program files, so you may want to look there. Sometimes it takes a bit of
detective work to find these. Good Luck.
