Spyware Scanning Bug...

M

MR_GRIMM

Here's what I'm running:
Microsoft AntiSpyware Version = 1.0.501
Spyware Definition Version = 5685

Here's the information:
1 - I ran a Quick Scan and it said I had the
AdultLinks.QBar. It identified one of my Favorite
Links Folder called "Sports" with some sports links
in it.
2 - I went into IE Browser and deleted the "Sports"
folder from my Favorites Links. Closed IE Browser.
3 - Re-ran another Quick Scan and nothing was found.
4 - Opened IE Browser, clicked Favorites, then Organize
Favorites..., then clicked the Create Folder button.
Typed "Sports", hit enter, then Close button. Closed
IE Browser. ** Did not put any links into this
folder. **
5 - Re-Ran Quick Scan. This time nothing was
found. "Sports" folder is in my Favorites dropdown,
but not in my "Links" folder.
6 - Opened IE Browser, clicked Favorites, then Organize
Favorites.... Clicked on "Sports" folder and dragged
it to the "Links" folder. Closed IE Browser.
7 - Re-Ran Quick Scan. It said I had the AdultLinks.QBar.

I found this eWeek article that said that Microsoft
AntiSpyware program did the same thing to them:
http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1750251,00.asp
** Read the third paragraph down. **

Anybody else encountering this problem???

How did the original "Sports" folder get created before you deleted and
re-added it?
