Hiya

What is the recommended Anti spyware solution for Termnial Services. We
are considering using etrust pest patrol but is it recommended for this
environment.

If you lock-down the file system and enable DeleteRoamingCache no antispyware
is needed. This is assuming terminal server users are not administrators or
power users.

I've never gotten spyware, malware or viruses on any of my terminal servers
because users don't have write permissions to anywhere where the apps can be
installed, their IE Temp Files are deleted when closing IE and their local
profile along with temp folders are purged at logoff.

Thankyou, does this purging of local profiles etc take place automatically
or does it have to be configured.
take place automatically for your reply. If you wanted to use spyware
protection what product would you recommend.

I can't recommend any specific spyware program, because I don't use them at
all. When using roaming terminal server profiles, purging the local copy at
logoff can be configured via the DeleteRoamingCache registry entry, or via
this policy:
