Spyware changed my IE default hompage to MSN home

After running MS Spyware and promptly rebooting I found that my Explorer
default homepage was changed from the one I selected to http://www.msn.nl/ (
I am in the Netherlands).

Microsoft, what hypocrisy. I can't believe you would use your own
antispyware software to hijack my browser settings in order to promote other
MS services. Are you also using it to spy on me?

I would appreciate a response from the company.

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > on the General Tab,
under Home Page in the Address: box, type in your desired homepage, click
Apply > OK.

In Microsoft AntiSpyware > Click on Advanced Tools > Browser Restore >
select "Start Page" > in the "Details" pane click the "Change restore
setting to a new url..." link , type in your home and press OK.

If people would just read what they are clicking to allow or block, nearly
one-third of the issues people have with MSAS, or any other app for that
matter, wouldn't even be an issue.

I guess it's TOO hard to read what they are allowing or blocking!

It would be much easier for the app to block them from using their system in
the first place. That way we wouldn't have all these infected PCs, since
most infections are the result of a user doing something or going somewhere
they shouldn't have.
