MS Antispyware changes my IE preferences

Is there a reason my IE browser preferences are
automatically changed - without my approval - after
installing MS Antispyware? Isn't that what scumware does?
I have never selected MSN as my browser homepage yet that
is what I got after installing MS Antispyware. This is
rude behavior and I hope they fix it before Antispyware
graduates from beta.

You must go to Tools > Advanced Tools > Browser Hijack
Settings Restore, click on the "Change restore setting to
a new URL..." hyperlink, type in youwebsite.com, and press
Enter. You might have to check the box next to
the "Start Page" line and then press the 'Restore' button
at the bottom left of the screen to "restore" yahoo.com
as the start page.

MSAS does NOT change MSIE preferences without your approval. Installing
MSAS does not cause this effect.

After your first MSAS scan, MSAS asks you whether you wish to recover from a
browser hijack. If you consent to this, MSAS then changes your MSIE
settings to the system's default values for these, which in most cases is
www.msn.com.

It was done with your consent.

If you wish to change the way in which MSAS recovers from a browser hijack,
pull down the "Tools" menu, select "Advanced Tools", select "Browser Hijack
Restore Settings"
