Spyware Blaster and Spy Sweeper

someone

I was alerted about updates to Spyware Blaster and attempted to update it.
In the middle of the update, Spy Sweeper informed me that Spyware Blaster
was attempting to change my security settings and I should not let it do so.
So, now I'm confused. I said OK, ran Spyware Blaster update again, and it
said now that I have the latest updates. What's going on?

SpySweeper is just functioning as intended and alerting you that something
(either good or bad)... in this case SpywareBlaster, is attempting to add
sites to your restricted sites list in your Internet Browser. So if you
trust SpywareBlaster, wouldn't that be alright? As an alternative you
could shutdown SpySweeper when you run the SpywareBlaster updates then
restart it after the updates are enabled, and you'll never hear a peep out
of it. At the point you ran it the second time undoubtedly the restricted
sites were already in place and it didn't need to make any changes at that
time, so there were no alerts generated.
