spyware beta cannot access internet

I have dsl broadband. Spyware cannot update because error
message - no internet connection. This is true even if
firewall is disabled. Advice? Thanks

Turn the firewall back on.

Check that IE or OE are not set to "work offline."

There are several things that may work:

1) time. Some folks have stated that this has gone away over time with no
known action on their part.
2) Doing an update reinstall--Control Panel, add or remove programs,
Microsoft Antispyware, change, update.

Note that this may work better than uninstalling an reinstalling for several
kinds of issues.
