Spyware and IE6 issue regarding trusted sites

I have Win XP and IE6 SP1, and my problem is that I had some
spyware/adware on my system and cleaned it off using both Ad-aware 6
AND Spybot 1.3. The only problem is that I seem to keep getting
pop-ads. I did notice that any website I go to now comes up as a
trusted site instead of an internet zone site, even though my trusted
site list is empty and I know for a fact that many of them never were
trusted sites to begin with. Could this be a result of one of the
spy/ad ware bugs that was on my system and if so, what can I do to fix
it? it is really starting to get annoying now.

In the registry (regedit), the entry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Internet
Settings/ZoneMap/ProtocolDefaults/http should be set to 3 instead of
2.
