Spyder3print: what printer settings for target print ?!?

Hello all,
I'm trying to use a printer calibrator for the first time.
Very stupid question: what settings should I put in the printer driver when
I print the color target ?

I doesn't seem logical to me to print with the defaults (plain paper, color
enhance) if I'm printing on glossy photo paper.

On the other hand I imagine the calibration must start from somewhere
(default plain paper ?), but then why not ICM off ?

I con't find anything about that in the Datacolor manual.
I'm confused... unless it doesn't matter and the software just ignores my
choice !

Hi.

The "help" files or the instructions which come with the Calibration Device
should give fairly exact directions.

It would be sensible to set the "Media" type in the Printer Driver for the
Media which you will be printing onto. Otherwise too much or too little ink
will get applied to the paper, and your test patches won't then be of much
use.

You really must ensure that you turn OFF Colour Management in both the
Printer Driver and in the Program from which you will be printing the Test
Patches.

All the fancy print settings like "Colour Enhance" should also be turned
Off.

You really need to take a note of all the settings you have used in making
the Test Patches, and use exactly the same settings when printing with the
new Profile.
