Aplogies in advance if this is not the correct NG for this post but my
problem is with Spybot Search & Destroy & Downlaod Accelerator Plus. I do
have DAP installed on my PC but I dont always use it or have it load at
startup. Whenever I run SSD it finds 10 entries in the registry attributed
to DAP but can only "fix" 8 of them saying the remainder maybe in use or in
memory. My question is can I manually delete the entries from the registry
that SSD finds but is unable to delete itself??

Hi Tony,

Let Spybot schedule it to run and delete the files at startup, then reboot.

Hi Tony

If you delete those entries DAP may not work. What are the other two
entries that SSD can't fix?

If you want a "clean" download manager, try
Freshdownload http://www.freshdevices.com/freshdown.html

Uninstall DAP in "safe mode." Then scan with SpyBot S&D

Thanks for replies. I've let Spybot run on bootup to "clean" the remaining 8
entries but it still doesn't clean them saying they're in use or in memory
hence my question about deleting them manually. I should have said it finds
10 entries but can only fix 2 of them leaving 8 untouched. Theses are all in
HKEY_LOCAL_Machine\Software\Speedbit\Download Accelerator..and in that
folder there are the following 8 entries:ADSUpdates,ADSProxy,ADSNo
Trigger,ADSLeech,ADSFile List,ADSCategory,ADSDefaultCategory=Default &
ADSADS.
