lately in fact. It might be because of the popularity of the program and
server overloading.

I used "Safer Networking #1 (Europe)" to update the files

I had the same problem a few weeks ago but it only happened if I tried
to download all the definitions, English help file, etc. at once (have
all the check boxes checked). If I did one at a time, it seemed to work
fine. No idea why.

Performed the same procedure yesterday and, like you, it worked just
fine. Server overload is the usual answer.

Choose a different server from the pull-down menu. I generally use 'Safer
Networking #2 (Europe)' and dont recall ever having a problem

Thanks for that tip. I didn't realize you could choose a different
server. Guess I should pay more attention.

query but the d/l went well some time later in the day. Thanks.

I just downloaded the new detection rules without any problems.
(Prior to today, I've was getting "bad checksum" error messages;
this occurred every Friday evening for 3 weeks. I assume it's because

What I did was to repeat and it had the same result, that is bad checksum.
I uninstalled Spybot, deleted it to the bin, downloaded spybot and all is
well. After downloading and checking my settings in advance mode it found
smitfraud.c (I think it was .c) and removed it. Weird. All is well.
