SPRTCMD What is this?

Robin

I found this entry in the msconfig startup entries.
I tried google and it said it was something to do with Qwest? I don't have
and never have had Qwest. Could someone tell me what this is and why it is
on my machine? And, can I remove/disable it?

Thanks

Well, I don't want to disable it because I don't know what it is. I have
searched Google and all I can find is it is something to do with HP digital
imaging. I have an HP printer, but I don't use the photsmart part. I just
use my printer for text and webpage printing. I am leaning twards thinking
it is something to do with the photoediting portion of the program, so I
don't need it, but I don't want to disable it til I make sure of that.
Thanks
Robin

Well, it can be unchecked in msconfig (click start. type: msconfig, hit
enter) and then rechecked if you don't like the results. Nothing on the
startup tab in msconfig is vital to windows operation.

SORRY for this. I have been searching processes allday and got them
confused. Disregard this explanation please...

Ok, this process when searching comes up and something to do with an ISP. I
do not have Qwest. I have Comcast. I have gone to all the seach pages and
it does not give any other info but that. Just that it has something to do
with an ISP.
Sorry I cannot give more info, but I don't have a clue what it is. I
haven't disabled it because I don't want to mess up my computer or anything.

Thanks

If you don't know what ISP's you use, no one else would. You should probably
seek local help. Which internet connection you use is usually set in
Internet Explorer, Tools menu, Options, Connection tab.

The OP said *Comcast*.

It's for Dell Support:

This is a Dell Support Center file, so if you have a Dell and use
their help system, I would leave it alone. I am sure its not taking
up a lot of resources anyway, so I'd leave it be.

No, what I am saying is I don't know what ISP's this thing is for. I use
Comcast. The only things the search said were Qwest, but it did generalize
alot also. Sorry for the confusion...

Yes, I do have Dell and I occasionally need the help system. So I guess I
will leave it be then. :)
Thanks!
