Spooler subsytem app has encountered a problem and needs to close

This is an issue on a single network workstation, but as background we're
running SBS 2003 with all XP workstations. On the workstation in question we
are unable to add 1 of our 4 network printers, an HP laserjet2300. This
printer works fine on all other ws. I have followed tech docs 324757 and
312052 numerous times and can't get the lj2300 to load. I get the spooler
subsystem error message every time. I've manually deleted the print drivers,
registry entries, and specified files in windows\system32\spool\printers\,
and have run cleanspl.exe to no avail. All other printers load on the ws in
question just fine. At one time the lj2033 was loaded on this ws but never
worked too well, it was very very slow to print. There must be a driver
conflict somewhere but I can't find it. I now need help. Thanks in advance

look for hp* in system32. I have no idea what files this printer uses.
