Spooler issues

I am running Windows XP SP2 and I am having trouble with the print spooler.
I loos my printers, programs hang because they can't print. It is so
frustrating. I ran services.msc to stop and start the spooler after reading
a previous discussion and it worked for a short time. But now I cant even
find the print spool when I run services.msc.

Search your System32 folder for spoolsv.exe and spoolss.dll and delete both
of them, reboot. Windows will regenerate a good copy of those files
automatically. If the problem persist then try updating all your printer
drivers, I have seen that happen with HP, Xerox, and Lexmark drivers
generally caused by the way they are installed via by network or locally.
