spooky RAM

my PC has a RAM card of 256mb, i know this, but when i check by right
clicking my computer then propetries it says i only have 224mb, where has it
gone!
 
Hi Browny,

If the system has a on board video chip, the missing memory may be
assigned to it.
 
Your computer has an on-board video chip (instead of a faster/more efficient
video card). 32MB of your RAM is dedicated to this video chip.
