Because your 3d accelerator shares your system's memory. Therefore you have
32 MB of your total memory dedicated to your video and the rest belongs to
the rest of the system.

Probably because you have onboard video on your motherboard,
instead of a separate video card, using the rest.

You have your video provided by a chip on the motherboard rather than a
plugin video card, and the other 32 MB of RAM has been reserved for it.
This should be adjustable in the BIOS setup; you might consider reducing
it to 16 or even 8, which will be enough for things other than 3D games
(for which you would be needing a good plug in card anyway)

I also have onboard graphics-it shares only 8mb of system memory (it is a
Intel 82845G)
