I JUST BOUGHT A NEW EMACHINES COMPUTER AND IT
SPONTANEOUSLY REBOOTS ITSELF ATLEAST ONCE A DAY. SEND
REPORT SAYS IT IS IN MICROSOFT SOFTWARE. ALREADY CHECKED
PC FOR SPYWARE/VIRUS. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP.

Where to start? Have you read the details in the error report? What application is failing? Is it a legitimate copy of Windows? Is all your hardware installed correctly? - not everything is spyware-related…

Secondly, it's not polite to type in ALL CAPITALS - it's the same as shouting!

Lastly, if you think it may be spyware, you'll need to provide as much information as you can about your software and hardware.

Unless this problem is related to the use of the MS AntiSpyware program,
this newsgroup is not the right place to seek help.

As the PC is new, you should take the problem up with the vendor as a
Warranty issue.

Jimmy,

Can you copy the "System Error" warning event out of the system log and
paste it here with the parameters? Also, when does the problem occur Random
times, during a scan, etc? I need a bit more details to continue
troubleshooting.
