Splitting Database

I recently split our database using the Utility. Not sure if it went the way
it was supposed to? The be and fe are still on the server and occasionally
one of the three users will tell me that the database is locked. Am I
supposed to go to each workstation and copy the fe to their harddrive? I
don't remember seeing this in the Wizard.

Moving the front end to each user is a great idea but is not in the wizard.

Will it matter where on the users c drive I put the front end? i.e., should
I make a separate folder for the front end database?

You can place it on their C: drive where ever you want. Some might create a
folder in the Program Files directory.
