Spellcheck problem

M

Mike Kelley

This is on a recently purchased Dell Latitude D830 Laptop.
I my old Dell, when I look on the Spelling Tab in Outlook Express the
language shown is English (United States). On the new computer, when I
complete an e mail message, the Spellcheck is in French and it stops on every
word because I type in English.
In the Options dropdown the only item available is France.

You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in Outlook
Express 6.0 after you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932974

Office 2007 breaks OE's spell check. Downloading a free spell check is the
simplest way around this.

TinySpell:

Australian English Spell Check
(Also suitable for other English speaking countries.)

If you have a previous version of Office, see this:

Spellcheck questions have NOTHING to do with XP as the OS has NO
spellcheck capability.
