Exporting My Computer/HK_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE to Registry Hive F

Hi,

When I export My Computer/HK_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE to Registry Hive File it
locks my system for 6 - 7 minutes. I have a Dell Latitude D830, 2 GB memory,
and XP Pro SP3.

I tried exporting again on another Latitude D830, 2 GB memory, and XP Pro
SP2, same time length.

Running the export on a Dell Optiplex 745, 2GB memory, and XP Pro SP2 it
took 2 minutes.

What is going on?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening?

It also affects our Commvault System State backup. I have run numerous tests
with Commvault support but it all points back to this issue.
