SPELLCHECK - Automatic

When I compose a new email in Outlook and I misspell a word - I need it to
"auto correct" itself as I'm tryping. (In Word, I select the option "check
spelling as I type") I can't seem to find anything in Outlook that will
accomplish the same.

I do have Outlook set up to spell check the document before it gets sent -
but I'm looking to have Outlook automatically correct the spelling as I'm
typing. Is this possible in Outlook? I'm using Outlook 2003.

Thanks in advance for any help!

If you're using Word as you email editor and you have Word setup to "Check
spelling as you type" then Outlook should also do it automatically.

Hope this helps but your problem may be beyond this.

Best wishes

Thanks AJ. For whatever reason, under Options, Mail Format, the option to
select WORD as my email editor is greyed out. The "compose in this message
format" is set to HTML. If I choose, Plain Text or Rich Text - the "Use
Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages" is still greyed out and I cannot
select it.

The saga continues..... :-)
