Spell-checking within email addresses and signatures

Whenever I send a message, the spell-check always flags up parts of my
signature text and email address. I know I can add these to the custom
dictionary, but I'm sure I've seen an option somewhere to exclude signature
and/or email addresses from the spell check.

Is this correct? Where is this option to be found?
