How to get Outlook 2003 to spell check the signature.

Maybe it can't be done, atleast I have not found any info on how it can be.
To be a little more specific:

When a user creates a new message, typing above or below the signature
results in Outlook auto spell checking the text. But if a user types inside
of the signature spell check is auto disabled. While troubleshooting, with
your cursor in the body of the email (outside signature), if you go under
Tools - Language - Set Language the "Do not check spelling or grammer" is
unchecked, but with the cursor in the signature under the same menu it is
checked. Unchecking it will result in Outlook auto spell checking for that
email only.

Anyone have any ideas how to get the option to set as a default for all
emails so that the siganture are is spell checked?

Surely the signature is a one-off piece of text. Why on earth would you want
to spell-check it more than once? Signatures don't change.

Very true, but I have a couple of clients who are using the signature as
almost a letterhead. They have an image at the top and then their identity
at the bottom, they want to type in the middle of the two.

Then perhaps a template might be the best way to go?

Then they should be using stationery, with the image on the stationery and
the identify in the signature.

We are trying to do exactly the same thing. My boss uses the signature as
letterhead and the spell check doesn't work on the areas inside the signature.
We tried signatures but didn't have any luck as it wouldn't take our logo in
the picture. My boss really needs spell check!!
Have you had any luck with a solution to this problem?

correction on last post.

We tried to use stationery as suggested, but our logo wouldn't show up in
the stationery. It justs showed as a box with the X in it.
Did you try stationery and did it work?
Thanks

Thank you for this information. I have used it and it worked. However, in
the meantime, I did find another post regarding using Stationery for email
letterhead and it advised not to. See "how do I put company letterhead in
email" in this forum.
The reply by Jezebel June 30, 2005 was important. Now I don't know what to
do??
