Spell Check Signature Outlook 2003

Hi, I am using a signature in my emails with a heading and a footnote, i am
using the space in between to write my email. The spell checker does not
check the text i type in the signature.
When i go to tools>Language>Set Language, the box is ticked "do not check
spelling or grammer"
I have unticked this box, clicked default but everytime i start a new email
the box is automatically ticked.

How do i have the spell checker automatically check the spelling within my
signature?

Any help will be great. Tks

You can't if you use word as your editor but you may be able to spell check
it if you use the outlook editor. (I don't have Outlook 2003 handy to test
it.)

FWIW, it's a signature and should be used as such. It's risky to type in the
signature block - if you decide to change sigs after typing, the text will
be deleted. I'd use autotext for the 'header' or skip it completely.
