Spell Checking uppercase words in a document header

I have a document that for some reason is not spell checking the uppercase
words typeded in the header section. The rest of the document spell checks
fine

Can anyone shed any light on this

In Word, click on Tools | Options | Spelling & Grammar | uncheck the "Ignore
words in uppercase" box | OK. Also verify that the paragraph style used in
the header does not have spellcheck disabled in Tools | Language | Set
Language | "Do not check spelling or grammar".

Thanks, I checked these options and all appears as it should be. BUT
interestingly I type an incorrectly spelt word into the header and it does
not show as an error, UNTIL I enter an incorrectly spelt word elsewhere in
the document and then it will show????

This is a different problem than what you originally posted. I just tried
what you suggested on my computer (Word 2002), and misspelled words in the
header are flagged as soon as I type them even when the document is empty.
Maybe click on Tools | Options | Spelling & Grammar | check the "Check
spelling as you type" box | OK.
