spell checker

i have recently changed from outlook express to mozilla thunderbird, when i
email nearly every word is underlined red and when i run the spell check it
says everthing is spelt wrong- even simple words like- the or and. I,m no
spelling genius but even i know how to spell THE! Does anyone know how to
sovle this problem it,s driving me mad!!

The answer to your question is "probably not" but if you'll check
forums devoted to Thunderbird someone may be able to help you. Look on
the Mozilla site, I believe there are help forums there that you can
try, if not, just search your list of newsgroups for any one with
Mozilla or Thunderbird in it's name.

Are you using an English language spell checker within Thunderbird?

(Under composition, spelling...)

If that's not it, well, try a Thunderbird group as has been suggested. :)
