Spell Check

I an running XP Pro and the spell checker is not working for outlook express. I don't have a spell tab in the tools/options. Have tried reinstalling in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof the CSAP file. As suggested on many web sites. I do have Microsoft word processing program. Spell check does not work in that either. Any suggestions
