Spell Check

If I do spell check on my word document and click "ignore" on words such as
Proper Nouns, will it carry over to anyone I email the document to. In other
words, will the "red" or "green" lines show up on someone else's computer
when they open the file or is the fact that I clicked "ignore" going to carry
over to the receiver of the document?

No, "Ignore" is not only machine-dependent but also session-specific. If you
want to send a document that does not display red or green lines, you can
check the boxes for "Hide spelling/grammar errors in this document." If you
want the errors not to show up even if a spelling check is run, you can
format the specific words as "Do not check spelling or grammar." For more,

Here's the issue. My son is taking an online computer course. He conducts a
spell check before sending the document to his professor. The only errors
are names of companies or people. He clicks "ignore" to each. When he sends
the file to his instructor, she sees the red lines and deducts points stating
that he didn't do spell check.

I knew that spell check was specific to the machine and session, but his
professor apparently does not. I wrote this question in order to get some
back up evidence for him.

Thanks
