spell check

It's definitely the fastest fix. Windows Mail comes with the default
language for spelling checks partly set to English, but not enough
to work. To correct this, click on Tools, then Options, then
Spelling. Click on the triangle to the right of the current language
selected, then any language other than English, then Apply. If you'd
rather have English selected, then click on the triangle again, then
English, then Apply again. Click on OK.

Did you follow my steps 1 through 3?
For some strange reason you quoted only the last part of my directions.

When I use spell check, I get the following error message: "This language
is no longer available for spell checking. Please select another in the
spelling options dialog." The selected language is English. What could the
problem be?

David Baran,
Follow this :
Tools > Options > Spelling > under Language, click the pointer and choose
ANOTHER language ( not English ) > click APPLY >click the pointer again,
this time choose English > click Apply/OK
That's it.
