spell check is not working

when I use spell check in word it is not correcting the mispelled word, but
it stills says "spell check completed". Is there a button to turn it on?
 
Ctrl+A to select the entire document. Go to Tools | Language | Set Language
and make sure that the correct language is selected and that "Do not check
spelling or grammar" is not checked.
