spell check color

when i right click on a mispelled word, the suggested word comes up in this bright grayish color that i cant even see. this option has become useless to me unless i can change the color back to black, ive tried everything. does anyone know how to fix this??
 
This may reflect the settings you've made in Windows' Control Panel |
Display | Appearance dialog.
