Speling checker problem

If i have the proofing tools for office 2003, would it work for the
office97???

No, but Office 97 had its own proofing tools. What, exactly, would you be
trying to accomplish doing this?

Dear Professionals,
i have an English office97 on a windows Xp english edition and my problem is
that the ms-word is not checking the spelling of any other languages except
the english...
do i need to install something or do i need to do some clicks on some
bottons so i'll be able to have a spelling checker in any languages??

I think you need to obtain/install the language packages for the additional
languages you want checked.

I am cross-posting this to the spelling.grammar newsgroup since someone
there can probably tell you exactly what you need to do.

English Office 97 did not come with proofing tools for any language other
than English. Unless you purchased the Proofing Tools package, you will not
be able to spell check in any other language.
