Speel check problem

Using Word 2000 on a Windows 2000 machine.
Large Word document, 200 pages plus, 150 sections....

When we do a spell check, the only thing checked are tables, the text is not
checked for errors. Any suggestions why Word isn't checking the document??

Select the text that is not being checked. Go to Tools | Language | Set
Language and make sure that the correct language is selected and that "Do
not check spelling or grammar" is not checked.
