What speed do you get at your local library?

I have been to various libraries here in Houston but never came across one with Internet speeds like this! I think this is pretty fast in my opinion considering its a library and today being Saturday with so many visitors online.

I just installed KDE full through the Synaptic Package manager and it downloaded all the 454 files required in just 5 minutes or so

What kind of speeds do you get in your area if you had to go to a library for quick email checking or doing some browsing for research?

I was asked before by a friend over in the US what sort of speeds we get in our local library. So I tried at two different library's. No go though. As soon as you try run speedtest.net there in house security kicks in and blocks the site. They pretty much block everything. My locl in Whitechapel won't even allow access to Facebook.

Very slow speed as it's only a community library, but in the nearest town it's quicker.:D

You got your priorities right over there. Spend money on fast internet first then improve the building. Hope it is a well insulated hut.

Zen, old cable, Greenwich, London.

They do now have a fibre optic cable service that's faster but they want more money to use it so they can go whistle :)

As for the local library, I have no idea, never use their internet service.
