Speed-up Dail-up! Plz help!

Is there anyway I can speed up my dail-up (56.5k) internet connection??

Its running really slow, slower than it should be.

Here are my results (from www.pcpitstop.com):
My upload speed is: 30 Kbits/sec
My download speed is: 32 Kbits/sec
My average ping is: 255 ms
My ISP is: Tesco.net

Please help me?

Hi,

Dial up gives you really slow performance. you cannot do anything since it uses the telephone line for transmitting data.

Best you go for a cable broadband connection. They are very fast compared to your dial up lines.

Your upload speed is limited to MAX 33 Kb/sec by the modem
Your download speed is limited to MAX 53 Kb/sec IF your ISP supports 56K
modems AND there is ONLY ONE Digital to Analog conversion between them
and your modem. Contact your ISP AND phone company to verify the line
conditions between your modem and the ISP modem.
