special folder assignment

Can any one tell me where in WindowsXP Home serv pack 2 you can tell
Windows which folder you want to assign as "MyDocs", "MyMusic", etc? Or is
there a utility/tool to do that? Or do you just drag the "MyDocs" icon to
a new folder?

Hi David,

An easy way is to install TweakUI, then go to My Computer/Special Folders.

The best method is to open My Computer windows on the place where you
want it and on C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\ to show My
Documents, then *right* drag the folder across, taking *Move* here. You
can also redirect the logical pointers concerned to different folders
(giving full freedom of naming) using TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys
from

Its My Computer - Special folders, select and Change Location. But that
will not move the files, which you would have to do separately
