Speakers are not being detected

I recenty had to replace my hard drive. I reinstalled windows XP and all of
my other progams but me speakers will not produce any sounds. I have checked
the device managers and it has yellow questions marks next to Multimedia
Audio Controler, SM Bus Controller, and Video Controller (VGA Compatible). I
ahve tryed to reinstall them using the three restore cds that I have but
nothing will work.

You reinstalled win but you failed, apparently, to install your mobo chipset
and other hw drivers
You install these from cd's supplied with your sys or by visiting manu sites
and downloading/installing them
