speaker volume control

i know how to setup the control on the task bar, you know down by the clock.
But when I reboot it will not stay. sometime is come up when I start the
machine and sometimes I have to got to control panel and setup it up again.
anyone know how to fixe this. (e-mail address removed).

Ron,
Reset it again from the control panel, then go to:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
and find number 30 and download it. This should
allow the pc to remember your settings.
