Spanned Disk Data loss

T

Tim

So here's my setup. I've got 2 SATA drives, both
operating independantly. I've also got two regular ATA
drives for a total of 240 GB of disk space. I boot from
one of the SATA drives and install all my software on to
it as well. The other SATA drive and the ATA drives are
storage space.

I used WinXP Disk Manager to span the two ATA drives into
a single dynamic drive. Recently I had to reinstall
windows though, and now I can't access the spanned drive.
I get a "Not accessible, Access Denied" error when I try
to open it from My Computer. If I check the properties of
the drive from My Computer it says that the volume has 0
capacity and is using the RAW file system, but if I look
under Disk Manager it says that it's a healthy spanned
disk with the NTFS file system. Also, I can access the
drive using the recovery console from the installation CD
and check the directories of the drive. They're still
there, but I can't open any of them (Access Denied).

If anyone can think of any way I can retrieve the data
from the disk I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Use Google to search for a file recovery program. There are many!
